Dear friends of fly fishing,

three years have passed since Fly Fishing Romania (FFR), our family project, has first made Romania known in the international fly fishing scene. A project that fosters a sustainable tourism in Romania through a responsible fly fishing and through related nature conservation activities.

Shortly after founding FFR, we launched a project in this matter within which we’ve organized important actions with the help of numerous volunteers from Romania, Germany, France and the USA. The main purpose of the project is to raise awareness among the local population and local actors to protect the rivers in the Western Carpathians, to promote a sustainable water management and a sustainable tourism in the area through fly fishing. It is particularly important for us to inform and sensibilize young people from the region for the protection and sustainable use of nature and to offer them the possibility to learn how to be/become responsible fly fishermen and women.

The first Fly Fishing Youth Camp 2017 in the Western Carpathians (pictures are here to see) has received an unexpected positive feedback from the international public. Encouraged by this great feedback, we’ve decided to organize 2018 another fly fishing camp for 20 children that go to school in the same region. The camp will still have a charitable character and aims to provide all participants with a fly fishing and a fly tying equipment which they are allowed to keep after the camp! For achieving this aim we ask for your support!!! (see details below)

We are very happy that the organizers of the First Fly-Tying Get-together NRW offer us the possibility to introduce ourselves and our project and above all, help us raise funds and materials for our next year’s fly fishing camp!!! Many thanks to all involved in the organization of this charitable fly tying event and many thanks for your support, your shared enthusiasm and confidence in our project!

We are looking forward to meeting you personally in Südlohn on 12.11.2017!!!
